Learn a New Language

One way to keep your brain active is to learn a new language, it's a good idea for at least two reasons, one is that learning a new language is a good brain trainer, because it involves memory, comprehension, creativity, verbal intelligence … the other reason is that you will be benefiting from speaking a new language, like to use it to boost your career/ résumé, or simply when traveling.

So it would be a good idea to choose the language that might help you the most, for example if you live in America, Spanish would be a good choice, in Canada if you speak English, then French could help a lot, because it's one of the two national languages, the importance of learning Chinese is growing thanks to the economic grown in China. Below you will find the first 300 most used words in English, Spanish, and French. You will be amazed to know that an average person uses only about 4000 words; more amazingly is that only about 300 words are used on a daily basis. So if you memorize the words below (either in Spanish or in French) you will benefit from them for sure, because they might come handy one day and also because you do it as a brain/ memory trainer. 300 words can be memorized in 7 days if you seriously focus on them, about 50 words a day, and the seventh day will be only to recap what you already memorized. This is one way of doing it: let's say you start on Monday (by memorizing 50 words), Tuesday you will repeat what you already memorized first, then jump to the next 50, Wednesday repeat both Monday and Tuesday's list, before starting with the next 50. Sunday will be dedicated only to making sure you memorized the whole 300 words without a mistake.

Note that you can also start by memorizing only 20 words a day if you don't have enough time, but that would mean that you will have to spend more days before you finish the 300 words list. Here is the list, good luck!
